Sap Of The Month!!
Yes, it's older brother Dale. You know, the rich, retired
guy who has been practicing for the PGA Senior Golf Tour. Well, this
reporter has it from a very reliable source that last Sunday, Dale and Janet
(St. Janet to most) spent their usual Sunday morning in church. Wonderful
sermon (Dale has trouble staying awake driving, let alone during a church
service) When it was time to go, Janet woke Dale up and they stood in line
to say hello to friends and greet the minister, drove the new Cadillac home
and got ready for one of Janet's famous Sunday meals. (Dale had been
dreaming of baked potatoes and pork chops.)Dale had a lot on his mind.
His eBay auctions were ending. He was in the middle of the Tryon World
Series against the dreaded Fat Boys. NFL Sunday ticket was ready to begin
and it was time for him to coach his Ames Sting on to victory. He plopped
down into his comfortable easy chair to watch the NFL pre-games. He was in his own little world.
(some say Dale has been there for decades) He kept calling for Janet (you
know Dale has been known to do that a few times in their 40+ year marriage.)
"Janet? Dinner getting cold? Janet? The game is about to begin! Janet? Could
you bring me some ice?" Only trouble was........Janet was not there. Dale
had gone and left her, literally at the alter......He had driven
home by himself and left poor Janet at the church.....stranded......like a
freshman girl at Prom!
Unbelievable, he had forgotten his wife!!...........Geeeze, it was almost
halftime before Dale realized it. (stomach was growling and it woke him up).....So he got into his car, drove to the church and Janet was no
where to be found......Seems Janet waited and waited at the church, then
finally started walking and was picked up by some greasy, tattooed guy in a Pick Up.
When Dale got back to his house, Janet was there, waiting with a rolling pin.....Nice job Dale.
(Dale thinking about Dale?) Poor Janet. Looks like Dale may be in the dog house for
