The 3 Amigoes up north pulled off
another good one. They have won the rights to have ISU CYCLONE and NEBRASKA Outings
to be at their establishment. Both are during the summer. They had currently been
held at other NW
Iowa locations. McCarney, Smith and another Assistant FB Coach will speak
for ISU. David had negotiated this with Pete Taylor, Smith and McCarney.
This last fall they talked the local radio station to doing a local
call-in show to at their location (sports questions of course). They had many
famous guests on the program, such as KS Athletic Director, Dan McCarney,
Viking personnel, etc., They also established a NW Iowa golf tournament,
which was a big success. Last summer, they talked the city into closing off
main street for a band concert. Of course, they had the rights to sell
the beer. This was one of their biggest days last year. They put on a
Super-Bowl Party which was a tremendous success this year. They have some
kind of celebration each month. And of course, they have their Comedy shows
on evenings in the summer.
Due to cutbacks on costs, the "3-D Comedy Club is hiring family to work the month of July!!!
July 1-2 Big Dick-he will be doing female impersonations (this is a must see!)
July 5-6 Donna and Nancy, also known as the Reinhart Twins or "Two Tons Of Fun." They will be playing polkas on the piano and organ. The house will be serving green kool-aid these days.
July 9-10 Warren-the hypnotist, doing fat reducing jokes. (His principal says he's a natural, because he has put his class to sleep on so many occasions.)
July 12-13 Dale-the unknown comic. He will also be autographing his book. (this could be a hard sell, tickets are cheap.)
July 15-16 Bill-he'll be bringing the original "Elvis", who he found at a truck stop in Hot Springs.
July 19-20 Larry-playing his hot clarinet while juggling ping pong balls in the air!
July 22-23 Bruce-the Magician-will be juggling chain saws and doing high tech magic on WLVA computers.
July 24-25 Gaylord-Ventriloquist act-(a natural for school administrators) a little teacher will sit on his lap and get his string pulled!
July 28-29 Randy-doing immature, stupid jokes and pranks (he was told to just show up and act like Donnie)
The whole month of July, Jerry will be setting up his dice game in a dark corner and selling envelopes.
