(Des Moines, Iowa) - Morningside assured itself a berth in the upcoming NAIA Division II National Tournament in Sioux City with a win on the road against the nation's 17th ranked team in the NAIA Division II.

The victory raised the Mustangs' record to 16-14 heading into next week's NAIA Division II North Independent Tournament

The victory raised the Mustangs' record to 16-14 heading into next week's NAIA Division II North Independent Tournament to be played in Philadelphia, Penn., and assured the Mustangs of having a record of at least one game over the .500 mark at the time of the national tournament.

Morningside was assured of having the host team berth for the national tournament with a record of .500 or better.
